NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) it’s an American agency responsible with the national space programs, aeronautic research and other scientific discoveries. After all the revolutionary work that NASA did, I believe that more presentation is useless. But the gift shop should interest you.

The NASA gift shop has plenty of surprises for you, starting from apparel, bookstore, candy and space food, collectibles and memorabilia, to cups and mugs, gifts, novelties and seasonal, jewelry, missions, stationery and toys, making the space experience accessible to all interested mortals.

As always we start from the top. The apparel hosts accessories, bags, caps, fitness, infant, toddler, kids, men’s polo’s, women pajamas and shirts, ties and T-shirts. If you’re highest dream is to become an astronaut, you first have to look as one and this is the easiest way possible.

The bookstore – my favorite place – holds bookmarks, CD’s, children and adult books, DVD’s and Video and of course prints. Here are some book titles: After Sputnik, Atlas of the Night Sky, Beyond Earth, Don’t Know Much about the Universe, Encyclopedia of Space and others similar – you’ve got the idea. For the kids, the books section has prepared more accessible writing: All aboard Reader: Planets, Book of Astronomy and Space IL, Comets, Stars, Moon, Mars, Extraordinary Solar System.

The candy and space food is one of the most attractive section in NASA’s gift shop, because people are curious to try this kind of aliments; they have Astronaut Ice Cream Neopolitan, Chocolate and Chocolate chip, Cinnamon Apple Wedges, Ice Cream Sandwich, Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. I am sure you will not resist in tasting at least one of these special dishes.

In the collectible and memorabilia category you can find Christmas articles, crystal collection, figurines, globes, Pewter collection and other collectibles. What seems truly interesting is the crystal collection with its crystal full stack clock, crystal orbiter clock, crystal shuttle globe and crystal shuttle launch. The figurine’s department has the followings: Alan Shepard Bobblehead, Astronaut Nesting Dolls, Boldly Go Monkey, Musical Shuttle Snow Globe, Resin Saturn V, Snoopy Astronaut and many others. The idea of these products is to come closer to the regular persons and make them understand NASA work and discoveries.  

The Mission section has stickers, logos, pins, medals and patches with the most successful results NASA has had over the years.
