Keeneland is a place in Lexington, Kentucky, USA, which hosts thoroughbred horse racings. Keeneland is also known for its books on sports, the association having a 10,000 copy library on equine sport. In 2009 Horseplayers Association introduced a rating system, and the Keeneland received #1 in a top ten. It has been designated as National Historic Landmark in 1986.





Keeneland was found in 1935 as a non-profit auction entity. When he first invented this business, Jack Keene, who had abandoned a prosper racing business and went into non-profitable work, thought of having racings for the benefit of the horsemen and reinvest the profits in the tracks and the grounds. In 1936 he completed a wooden grandstand for 2,500 seated spectators. Since 1936, there were live racing meets in April and October in Keeneland. A grace course has been added in 1985.
