Each country “lives” depending on the degree of development in certain areas. Some have well developed agricultural side, more tourism, industry, infrastructure, etc.

For example: Greece is a country living from tourism. Another example would be the Netherlands which are based on tourism (Country windmills) and as well on the culture of flowers, but especially the Tulips culture, which are very famous in this country. Therefore Netherlands is called the Flower (Tulips) Country.

Here are some details about this country: Netherlands (in Dutch Nederland, the Frisian Nederlân) is a constitutional monarchy, a founding member state of the Benelux and the European Union, located in northwestern Europe in the vicinity of the North Sea, Belgium and Germany, including with the Kingdom of the Netherlands and several colonies. A quarter of the Netherlands lies below sea level with altitude, having the lowest elevation in the world. It is also one of the most densely populated countries in the world. It is known for dams, mills and its tulips, but also to the social tolerance.

The Netherlands is considered for centuries the country flowers, especially for its tulips, with varieties that can reach thousands of dollars for a single thread. With a climate suitable for crop flowers for more than half the year, Holland has been developing a large-scale industry in these products so delicate and demanding, but so appreciated, is housed mostly in huge greenhouses with temperatures closely monitored.

And in the freight distribution flower auctions play a major role. Flowers and ornamental plants are collected and florist or buyer can buy on the spot, by telephone or Internet order. Hence, different species, many of rare beauty, come to be shipped worldwide, reaching then to be loved, gifted and purchased. A historical tradition in the Netherlands, the cultivation of flowers began to be increasingly important in 1950, when the government started to pay attention to this sector of the economy, supporting growers and exporters and especially diversification.

Many of those who in the past prefered focus on growing fruits and vegetables as preferred to begin to cultivate flowers in their turn. Gradually, the Netherlands has become the world market as a leading exporter of flowers and ornamental plants.

First, Holland offers a well-tuned marketing system, and an amazing variety of species and varieties of flowers, the best quality. Specialists have always tried to bring something new, so now in the Netherlands can get the latest and interesting information in the field. Paradoxically or not, Holland is not only producer but also an importer of flowers from over 50 countries, which are then, exported flowers on, the auctioning.

A special place arranged with tulips is Amsterdam, Keuka Park. Here you can admire hundreds of tulips very colorful and beautiful.

Based on these cultures, all over the Netherlands you can find many gift shops with flowers, especially tulip bulbs. You can find tulip bulbs of any color: red, yellow, and pink, white, even black. Black tulips are specific to this country, of course from here there are imported all over the world. Except tulips you can find also hyacinths and many other flowers.

So if you like flowers, do not hesitate to visit Holland, a beautiful country, a country full of flowers, where you can buy an entire collection of beautiful tulips and other flowers from a flower gift shop, or you can buy tulips bulbs and put them in your garden.

I remember that last year I visited my sister in Netherlands and when I took a cab to her place from the airport, I asked the cab driver to stop at a nice flower shop to buy her a flower bouquet. I am really sorry for not recalling the name of the shop so I can further recommend it to you because it is simply an amazing store. There were flowers all over the place and you could barely make your way through the flower vases. I asked for a bunch of 7 roses and the lady at the shop asked me if I trusted her to make a very special bouquet when I told her it was for my sister. In less than 10 minutes, he gave me a huge and superb bunch of flowers with red and white roses, yellow tulips and orchids. It was one of the most amazing flower bouquets I have ever seen in my life and my sister simply fell in love with them.

Hallo, I am living in the Netherlands and preparing our sightseeing in Waterloo and surroundigs
    I came on this website.
You mention for tulips Amsterdam, Keuka, but you can only mean the park Keukenhof in the
place Lisse and that is a half an hour drive west of Amsterdam. It is only open in about April
and May and is opened every year by a wellknow person, often princesses, such as from Sweden,
the Netherlands and so on. Type on the internet Keukenhof and you can see it yourself.

The Dutch farmes near our house have huge farms in Kenia nowadays and bring the flowers to the
    Netherlands.
Greetings from the Netherlands from Peter Plevier
