Elk Foundation Gift Shop

The Elk Country Visitor Center is situated in Missoula north of I-90 (the longest Interstate Highway in the United States; the northernmost coast to coast interstate and parallels U.S. Route 20 for the most part) houses the headquarters of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF), which is a conservatory organization, founded in 1984 by four hunters from Troy, Montana, with the mission of ensuring the future of elk, other wildlife and their habitat.




The Elk Country Visitor Center is a must see place and we encourage you to visit it. There is no fee and there is so much to see and learn. It is a beautiful building with many statues and mounts. If you’ll decide to visit the place, we can tell you for sure, that everything will be new, crisp, clean, well done and very educational in many formats. We advise you not to miss the area behind the huge diorama. We can assure you that hunters will love this place. The trophy mounts are also amazing.

The Elk Country Visitor Center offer a fantastic opportunity to spend some time, learning about the heritage of hunting and the legacy of conservation.
